From our

provide safe boating for novices as well as pros. Jet skiing, windsurfing, sailing and
canoeing are among the many opportunities for water sports. From deep-sea fishing to
relaxing on the Blackwater River, the areas salt and fresh waters offer an abundant
bounty for fishing.


There
are more than 40 golf courses between Gulf Shores and Destin, and several within minutes
of Navarre. Located in Navarre, The Club at Hidden
Creek is well known for its excellent conditions, fast course, lush landscaping, and
scenic layout. The 18 hole championship golf course was rated 4 Star by Golf digest
and plays 6,862 yards from the back tees and provides excitement for golfers of all skill
levels. Eglin Golf Club, Hurlburt Golf Club, and the Tiger Point Golf & Country
Club are other nearby golf courses.


Cultural opportunities abound, with an on-going schedule of the
performing arts and an abundant supply of galleries and historical sites. Creativity
flourishes along the Emerald Coast with the Northwest Florida Ballet, Fort Walton Beach
Art Museum Association, and the Okaloosa Symphony Orchestra.


The Gulf
Breeze Zoo, minutes from Navarre, has over 700 animals and is surrounded by botanical
gardens. Letting people and animals get acquainted in a natural environment is all
part of the quaint appeal. Visitors can ride the Safari Line Train to view free
roaming animals.


Just a short drive from Navarre are many attractions that will
please family members of all ages.
* Fort
Pickens is a unique attraction on the Gulf Island National Seashore. Along with the
ruins of the old fort, the park offers camping, swimming, fishing exhibits, nature trails,
guided tours and a museum.
*The National
Museum of Naval Aviation is one of the largest and most beautiful air and space museums in
the world, and captures Naval Aviation heritage. The museum includes the IMAX Theater.
* The
intricate maneuvers of porpoises, sea lions, penguins, otters, birds and other sea life
are on display at the Gulfarium and The Living Sea.
* The Gulf
Island National Seashore is a 150 mile long strip of barrier islands rich in culture and
history. Activities include camping, fishing, boating, swimming, snorkeling and scuba
diving.
* There are
many noted museums in the area such as the Pensacola Museum of Arts, Indian Temple Mound
Museum, and the Air Force Armament Museum.
